AF makes changes to Tuition Assistance

ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. -- Effective Oct. 1, Headquarters Air Force directed changes to the Tuition Assistance program which will include new restrictions for those requesting TA approval.
There are two main changes to the program that effect Airmen eligibility to receive TA.

     -- Supervisors are now required to approve all TA request.
     -- Assistance will automatically be denied for Airmen with:
          --- Unfavorable Information Files
          --- Failed physical assessments
          --- Referral officer and enlisted performance reports
          --- Placement on a control roster
