Aircrew members of Ellsworth B-1 Crash Identified Published Aug. 20, 2013 By 28th Bomb Wing Public Affairs ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. -- Names of the aircrew members involved in the Ellsworth AFB B-1 crash that occurred August 19, 2013 near Broadus, Mont. have been released. They are as follows: Maj Frank Biancardi II, Instructor Pilot Capt Curtis Michael, Instructor Pilot Capt Chad Nishizuka, Instructor Weapon Systems Officer Capt Brandon Packard, Instructor Weapon Systems Officer All four crewmembers sustained non-life threatening injuries and are receiving treatment or have been released from medical facilities. The Air Force will conduct a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the accident. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
