28th MUNS inventory Sept. 3 to 6

ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. -- The 28th Munitions Squadron will conduct a 100 percent semi-annual munitions inventory, Sept. 3 to 6, in accordance with Air Force Instruction 21-201, "Management and Maintenance of Non-Nuclear Munitions."

All munitions stockpile items will be frozen during this period for accountability. Munitions users must ensure all turn-ins and other transactions affecting inventory levels or combat ammunition system documentation are completed by 1 p.m., Aug. 29, or are scheduled for later than Sept. 9.

Only emergency issue requests submitted in writing and approved by Col. Charles McFarland, 28th Maintenance Group commander, will be accepted during the inventory dates.
