ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. – The 28th Force Support Squadron will offer numerous opportunities to learn new skills throughout the month of September.
Happy Landings, a free monthly information fair intended for new personnel and family members, will be held after Right Start at the Dakota’s Club Sept. 20 from noon to 12:30 p.m. Agencies from around the base and the local community will provide information about upcoming events and services. Along with social events and movie nights at the base theater, the 28th FSS will offer educational opportunities in the form of classes and workshops.
All throughout the month, running demonstrations and workshops will be offered at the Bellamy Fitness Center. These provide Airmen a chance to refine their running ability and work towards a better run time on their physical fitness test. Arts and Crafts will host a free Intro to SLR Photography class Sept. 17 from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Those interested must be 18 years of age or older. Sign-ups are required by Sept. 14 by calling Arts and Crafts at (605) 385‐2899.
Two professional bowler’s classes, hosted by professional bowler Parker Bohn III, will be held at the Bandit Lanes Recreation Center Sept. 29 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and 8 to 10 p.m. For more information, call (605) 385-2536.
Finally, for a chance to create your own masterpiece, Arts and Crafts will host a Gallery on the Go paint party Sept. 24 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., and Sept. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. Supplies are included, and participants are encouraged to bring their own snacks and beverages.
