ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. – The 28th Civil Engineer Squadron Customer Service section will be reducing the amount and type of work orders accepted in October and November as it implements a new facility management information technology system this fall.

Starting the first week of October, the 28th CES will be reducing the intake of new work orders, and will only focus on priority and urgent work until Oct. 31. From Oct. 24 to Nov. 4, a “brown-out” period will be initiated, where only emergency and urgent work orders will be accepted. All requests and record keeping will be done by hand during this time and customers will have to assist the 28th CES with updating their records after the transition.

The new system, known as TRIRIGA, provides a centralized IT system that will facilitate more agile and proactive planning for infrastructure support. This will allow real-time data analysis between the flights to increase day-to-day productivity. It will also reduce the number of manual data calls and reports sent to headquarters since Ellsworth's data will be readily available and visible at all levels of command.

Additional benefits include an increase in efficient decision-making, improved approval routing, facilitation of total asset visibility, increased information availability, enhanced installation support, reduced support costs, while also allowing cross-functional operations and conforming to reporting requirements to meet mandated laws, regulations and policies.

Facility managers will be the only personnel who are authorized to send in service requests through TRIRIGA. All facility managers require official facility manager appointment letters for TRIRIGA access. CE Customer Service has presented multiple facility manager town hall meetings to ensure all facility managers are aware of these new policies and changes.

Following set-up, TRIRIGA capabilities have been configured to automate and increase visibility on critical processes. However, CE Customer Service will still be available for questions, requests, and all emergency work.  Please feel free to contact Customer Service at (605) 385-2580.
