Remembering 1972 Flood
An Ellsworth Airman uses a front end loader to pick up debris around homes and nearby buildings that were damaged after the flood in Rapid City, S.D., June 1972. Nearly 500 Ellsworth Airmen worked with local authorities on June 10, 1972, a number that increased to 1,143 on June 11 and 950 on June 12.
