Dyess Jets Leaving

Twenty B-1 Bombers from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, lined up on the Ellsworth AFB flight line Nov. 7 in preparation for their departure back to Texas. The aircraft were temporarily relocated to Ellsworth in September, while the 6,600 feet of the Dyess flightline was under construction. Ellsworth was chosen out of more than 10 sites as it was the most cost effective. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman First Class Anthony Sanchelli)
