Former President Gerald R. Ford lies in repose at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Palm Desert, California, as the Guard of Honor stands watch. More than 500 military members are in Palm Desert supporting the California portion of the State Funeral for the former president. The military is providing ceremonial, logistics, and security support to honor and pay tribute to the former Commander-in-Chief and the Ford family.
