Air Force officials are considering High Velocity Maintenance, or HVM, at Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., for the B-1B Lancer such as this one flying a mission over Afghanistan. If HVM is approved, it will be significant change in how the Air Force maintains its aircraft. HVM provides a fix before something breaks through a more comprehensive analysis of each aircraft.
