28th Maintenance Group and 28th Operations Group exceeded the July monthly flying goal

Senior Airman Sarah Montoya, 28th Maintenance Group maintenance scheduler, updates the Sortie Board outside the 28th Bomb Wing headquarters building at Ellsworth AFB, S.D., July 25, 2014. The 28th Maintenance Group and 28th Operations Group exceeded the July monthly flying goal by 10 sorties as of July 24, an accomplishment not seen since March of 2012. The Sortie Board is updated daily, showing how the 34th Bomb Squadron, the 37th Bomb Squadron, and the 28th Bomb Wing as a whole are progressing with their monthly flying contract goals. Exceeding the monthly goal by 10 sorties is a rare achievement that validates hundreds of hours of operations planning and aircraft maintenance by Airmen in the 28th Operations Group and 28th Maintenance Group, with vital support from countless Airmen on the flightline and across the base.
