2013 Dakota Thunder Run

Col. Gentry Boswell, 28th Bomb Wing vice commander, presents Ernie Miller, a World War II veteran, with a U.S. flag flown over Mount Rushmore and the Black Hills area during the 2013 Dakota Thunder Run at Sturgis, S.D., Aug. 6, 2013. Miller was drafted by the Army in 1945 and completed his training in bomb and ammunition disposal at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Md. During his time in the Army he was stationed overseas in the Philippine Islands and the Pacific Theater in Japan before returning home in the fall of 1946.
