New 10,000-gallon tanks enhance Ellsworth mission

Civilian construction workers install one of two 10,000-gallon fuel containment tanks at Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., Oct. 27, 2014. Slated to be completed in November, the new product recovery tanks will collect any fuel spills during fueling operations. These tanks allow fuels management personnel to recover fuel in the event of an emergency spill. In addition to the tanks being installed, 71 cubic yards of the containment system will be repaired. The $2 million-project will protect the environment for Ellsworth AFB. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Anania Tekurio/Released)
