Airman wins FOD poster of the year

Col. Ty Neuman, 28th Bomb Wing vice commander, left, presents a coin and poster to Senior Airman Alexander Buchanan, 37th Bomb Squadron aviation resource management journeyman, during an awards presentation at Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., March 4, 2016. Buchanan’s poster design won the annual Foreign Object Detection poster contest for fiscal year 2015. The inspiration for the design was described as a perspective change to show how the smallest of foreign objects could cost the Air Force millions of dollars, so these objects were portrayed as big as they appear to ants.
