Auto Hobby Center: venue for your inner mechanic

Wheel weights sit in a bin to be used to correct tire wobbling at the Auto Hobby Center at Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., Jan. 19, 2016. Tires are put onto a tire balancing machine, then spun around several times to identify where a bend in a rim is. Once found, a specified tire weight is hammered onto the rim and stays connected through a clip. The shop is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information on services provided by the shop, call (605) 685-2900.
