28th LRS leads way in combatting human trafficking

Human trafficking is a crime involving the exploitation of someone for the purposes of involuntary labor or a commercial sex act through the use of force, fraud or coercion. The Department of Defense began the Combating Trafficking In Persons Program in 2014 in order to mitigate the effects of human trafficking not just in the U.S., but also abroad.
