Upgraded B-1 touches down at Ellsworth

The 28th Bomb Wing’s first B-1 bomber upgraded with Sustainment Block-16 touches down at Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., May 2, 2016. The SB-16 is a combination of three upgrades: the Vertical Situation Display Upgrade, adding LCD multi-function displays; a Fully Integrated Data Link, providing the capability to integrate into the current Link-16 network; and a Central Integrated System Upgrade, identifying and troubleshooting B-1 system irregularities more efficiently.
