Ellsworth recognizes National Police Week

Senior Master Sgt. Tina Russell, 28th Security Forces Squadron logistics superintendent, reads a poem titled, “I Never Dreamed It Would Be Me” by George Hahn, a retired Los Angeles police officer during a special retreat ceremony at Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., May 19, 2016. The poem is written from the perspective of a law enforcement officer who has lost their life in the line of duty, and their hope that their name would be the last of those who die in the line of duty.
