Ellsworth celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Second Lt. Miranda Simmons, a public affairs officer assigned to the 28th Bomb Wing, receives a sweat towel after being the first woman to complete the Pink Day Parade and 5K as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., Oct. 7, 2016. Approximately 200 Airmen and civilians participated in the week’s events, which included five events throughout the week to help inform personnel and raise awareness for the disease.
