Reduce, Re-use, Recycle: Ellsworth's Hazmart

Tech. Sgt. Timothy Kavanagh, the 28th Logistics Readiness Squadron central storage non-commissioned officer in charge, receives cleaning liquids at the Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D. Hazmart, on Dec. 4, 2018. Members from the 28th LRS provide a safe and environmentally-friendly way for Airmen to dispose of their unwanted household chemicals. All hazardous materials delivered to Hazmart are logged and managed with barcode tracking, allowing the staff to keep track of incoming and outgoing materials and monitor the expiration dates.
