SERE conducts Outdoor Survival Skills Course

U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 28th Bomb Wing receive instruction during the first iteration of the Ellsworth Outdoor Survival Skills Course at the Fort Meade Training Area, S.D., July 21, 2022. An initial classroom instruction takes place at the Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) building at Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D. before students move to the Fort Meade Training Area for practical application. Adding navigation to an Airmen’s skillset makes them more multifunctional, teaches them to problem solve, and readies them for contingency operations.
