    Since 1986, the Department of Defense has designated April as the Month of the Military Child (MOMC). Throughout the month, military communities celebrate by taking part in various events and activities to recognize the strengths and sacrifices of military children.

    Characters from Sesame Street Live performed at the base theater on Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D. Families were able to get up close and personal with their favorite characters – while singing, dancing and learning about the importance of community.

  • Child Development Centers to welcome new AF-wide curriculum

    The new Early Learning Matters (ELM) curriculum was created to promote the development of the whole child with learning activities that help children develop specific skills. The new curriculum was developed specifically for Department of Defense families.

  • Childcare survey results received

    The 28th Force Support Squadron recently received the results from the November 2018 childcare survey. The results gathered indicate a need for improvements in childcare options offered to service members at Ellsworth Air Force Base.

    The Youth Center at Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., offers a variety of events and activities during the summer as well as throughout the school year.
